MARLON LANDBRUG

Young people hold the future. In our series ''FOUR the Future'' we put a spotlight on these young talents and their skills. Meet @marlonlandbrug.24, hockey player of Pinoké: ''Once you've mastered one thing, you can go on and expand your skill set''🏑
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE YOU WANTED TO HAVE A CAREER IN SPORTS?

The choice for a career in Hockey came natural. I discovered I had talent for playing hockey, this motivated me to become even better. My mom is my biggest support and helped me to become my strongest self.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU LEARNED OVER THE PAST YEARS?

To stay focused and don't rely on friends for your success.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?

I don't have a style that defines me. I like wearing tracksuits and balaclavas a lot, so i've been told I look like a drill rapper. But I always have a positive vibe around me so I don't feel like people feel intimidated by the balaclava.
IF YOU CAN GIVE AN AMBITIOUS YOUNGSTER SOME WORDS OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Become a master in what you love. Do not try to do different things at once even if you like a lot of things, keep your focus. Learn a skill and master it. You can not become a specialist at something if you are doing too much at once. For example look at athletes or barbers.. the better you are the more you're worth. Once you've mastered one thing you can go on to the next and expand your skill set.
